Aberdeen is the biggest city in the North of Scotland and certainly the main hub for transport, economy and culture for the North East.  It's a great city for a short break with attractions including newly refurbished art gallery, a huge sandy beach, leading parks and gardens, beautiful old town and Dolphins regularly spotted of the coast. It's fair to say that it's the most cycle friendly city, but it's easy to get out to the countryside with some great places for cycling on the doorstep and there are some absolutely classic rides if you have time and energy to ride a little further afield. There are lots of hotels in Aberdeen and there are usually good deals to be had - especially at weekends. The city has a great range of pubs in restaurants if you've earned the reward after a day on the bike.
